Brown AI Studio is a 10-week summer fellowship for Brown University students. Build and launch something of your own with $5,000 per fellow, AI tools, and mentorship from Brown alumni who build software.

What could you build?

A website or app. A game. A creative tool. Something that makes someone’s day a little easier. Your project needs a software component, and AI will help you bring it to life.

A good fit for the studio

You’re a Brown University student with a dream that only you can bring to life.
You’re building solo or with one teammate. Two-person teams live in the same city during the program.
You can work full time on your product over the summer.
You’ve built software on a team before, in a class like CS32 or outside the classroom.
You’re ready to build, talk to users, and keep improving. A working prototype is strongly preferred.

Come with a point of view

Before you apply, think about your audience, the problem they face or the story you want to tell, and what you’ve already tried. A prototype, a conversation with a potential user, or a lesson from an earlier project can be a useful place to start.
